Cement Butterfly

Here's an Owl butterfly Gannon photographed at Magic Wings today. He calls it a cement butterfly because it just sat there on the cement wall of the conservatory while he looked at it. He even brought a family of strangers over to tell them all about it.

Note: Originally I thought this was a blue morpho butterfly. The wings are similar, but now that I compare them, I see they do have their differences.

Although he didn't take this photo himself, Gannon wanted me to post it on his blog. It's of a puddle of ice we came across while taking a walk in the cemetery this morning.
